NEW HAVEN POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN A ROBBERY INCIDENT ON DIXWELL AVE
(1/28/2009) NEW HAVEN- New Haven Police arrested three men responsible for robbing a 32-year-old New Haven man Wednesday night. The suspects, 18-year-old Anthony Jackson of 64 Miller Street, 20-year-old Tyrese Holmes of 200 Fountain Street and a 17-year-old New Haven male, were arrested for robbery in the 2nd degree, assault in the 3rd degree and larceny in the 2nd degree.
The victim was walking down Dixwell Avenue when the three suspects approached him and asked for money. After complying with the suspects’ request, the victim was punched and kicked in the face sustaining minor injuries. The victim left the scene to make his way home but returned seeking his identification at the scene of the robbery. The victim once again encountered the suspects and asked for his identification to be returned. When the suspects rejected the victim’s request, he began to call police and the suspects fled. The victim chased the suspects down Dixwell Avenue where he saw the suspects enter a residence. New Haven Police Officers arrived at 680 Dixwell where they apprehended Jackson, Holmes and the third suspect.
